RapidMolds.com Launches "Beta 2" Website to the Public
AKRON, Ohio — November 21, 2006 — RapidMolds.com made available the second public version of their online automated mold quoting system today. Known as Beta 2, this release contains a brand new user interface and several functionality enhancements, including the ability to order online.
"We listened to the feedback we received from users about our Beta 1 release and made a lot of improvements based on those comments," said Brad Borne, president of RapidMolds.com. "Beta 2 implements a new graphical interface in an effort to further streamline the process of online injection mold quoting. The application readily provides access to more information in a single screen, and gives the customer easier, more innovative ways of getting around the application."
"Our goal in redesigning the interface for Beta 2 was to create a smoother reflection of the uncompromising quality of product and speed of service that RapidMolds.com offers to its customers," said lead interface designer Joshua Iwata. "We believe our users are going to feel more comfortable in the practical use of the application."
RapidMolds.com provides industry-leading rapid tooling and injection molding solutions coupled with an automated online plastic injection mold quoting application, offering production-quality mold quotations in as little as 5 minutes. With only a standard web browser, an entire mold RFQ can be created and submitted online in just a few clicks. Users have the choice of accepting standard RFQ specifications and submitting as little as an e-mail address and a single CAD file, or creating in-depth specifications for quoting more unique molds. RapidMolds.com even allows its customers to view and accept proposals for orders online through its secure Customer Center.
